Able Seaman (AB)
Any applicant who successfully completes this 40-hour Able Seaman course and who presents their Certificate of Training at a Regional Exam Center WITHIN ONE YEAR of completion of training will satisfy the examination requirements of 46 CFR 12.05-9 for the "Deck & Navigational General/Deck Safety" and "Deck General & Safety/Rules of the Road" exam modules for any Able Seaman endorsement AND the practical (knot-tying) examination requirement of 46 CFR 12.05-9 for an Able Seaman endorsement.

Able Seaman-Refresher
This course satisfies all requirements for an Able Seaman endorsement. Any applicant successfully completing this 24-hour Able Seaman Refresher course AND presents the Certificate of Training within one year of completion of training will be able to present their Certificate of Training at a Regional Exam Center and receive any Able Seaman endorsement provided they have completed the TRL 80-hour Able Seaman course within the previous two years.
Advanced Refrigeration
To provide those individuals who have successfully completed the 80-hour QMED Refrigeration Engineer course with advanced practical training in the operation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of common shipboard refrigeration equipment such as ice machines, ice cube makers, salad bars, rich-in refrigerators and heating systems

Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA)
Any applicant who successfully completes the 28-hour Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA) course will satisfy the ARPA training requirements of 46 CFR 11.202(c).
The practical assessments conducted in this course will ve accepted as the equivalent of the following assessments from the National Assessment Guidelines for Table A-11/1 of the STCW Code: OICNW-3-2A; OICNW-3-2B;OINCW-3-2C; OINCW-3-2D; OINCW-3-2E; OINCW-3-2F; OINCW-3-2G; OINCW-3-2H; OINCW-3-2I; OINCW-3-2J; OINCW-3-2K;OINCW-3-2L; OINCW-3-2M.

Basic & Advanced Fire Fighting 40-Hour

Any applicant who has successfully completed this 40-hour Combined Basic and Advanced Fire Fighting course will satisfy:
a) the Basic Safety Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting training requirements of Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-2 of the STCW Code and 46 CFR 10.205(1)(2);
b) the Advanced fire fighting training requirements of Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code;
c) the Basic and Advanced Fire Fighting training requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(g) and 10.401(g)(1) for license;Basic Safety Training
Each module is scheduled individually and, if required, can be taken individually. STCW Basic is comprised of four modules of training. All modules are certified by the U.S. Coast Guard and meet the requirements of 46 CFR and STCW for endorsement.

This 4 day, 32 hour course meets USCG/STCW requirements, includes competency Table A-II/1, A-II/2 and B-VIII/2 and 46 CFR 10.205 and 10.209. This course is recommended for all watchkeeping officer ratings and as an operational review for management personnel ashore.
Any applicant who has successfully completed this 32-hour Bridge Resource Mangement course will satisfy the requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(o) and Section B-VIII/2, Part 3-1 of the STCW Code.

GMDSS (Restricted Operator) 21-Hour
We utilize a state of the art live FURUNO GMDSS FCC license exams are available for an extra fee. This 3 day, 21 hour course meet USCG/STCW requirements, regulations, equipment, principles, and hands on operating procedures of each GMDSS sub-system -Restricted Operator. Satisfies STCW Code restricted to Sea Area A-1. Licensed mariners must meet certification and training requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard and Federal Communications Commission to serve as qualified GMDSS Radio Operators aboard compulsory vessels.
GMDSS 73-Hour
We utilize a state of the art live FURUNO GMDSS FCC license exams are available for an extra fee. This 10 day, 73 hour course meet USCG/STCW requirements, regulations,equipment, principles, and hands on operating procedures of each GMDSS sub-system. Licensed mariners must meet certification and training requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard and Federal Communications Commission to serve as qualified GMDSS Radio Operators aboard compulsory vessels. For individuals requiring FCC license elements 1 and 7 an additional charge of $75.00 will be charged.
HAZMAT First Provider
Individuals at the operations level respond to releases of hazardous substances as part of the first response to the site for the purposes of protecting nearby persons, property, and the environment from the effects of the release. They are trained to respond in a defensive manner.

Immersion Suit Training
Any student completing this 2-hour Immersion Suit Training course will satisfy the Personnel Survival Techniques training requirements of Section A-VI/I and Table A-VI/1-1 of the STCW Code and 46 CFR 10.205(1)(1) provided that they have also completed U.S. Navy Recruit Training and have acquired at least one year of sea service every five years since the completion of recruit training.

Junior Engineer
Any mariner with a merchant marine document endorsed as QMED Oiler and/or Fireman/Watertender and successfully completes this 280-hour QMED Junior Engineer/Pumpman course will satisfy the:
a. requirements of 46 CFR 12.15-9 for the General Safety (80XXX), Junior Engineer (81XXX) and Pumpman (88XXX) examination modules, if presented within one year of training AND
b. training requirements for 46 CFR 13.403(a)(2) and I3, 409 for an endorsement as Tankerman - Assistant DL, ANDLifeboatman / Proficiency in Survival Craft

Medical First Provider
Any applicant who successfully completes this 26-hour Medical Care Provider course will: (1) Satisfy the First Aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(h)(1)(ii) and (h)(2)(iii) for issuance of a merchant mariner license if presented WITHIN ONE YEAR of the completion of training; --AND—(2) Satisfy the Basic Safety –Elementary First Aid Training requirements of 46 CFR 10.205)I)(3) and Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-3 of the STCW Code; --AND— (3)Satisfy the Medical First Aid training requirements of 46 CFR 12.13-1 and Section A-VI/4 and Table A-VI/4-1 of the STCW
Ordnance Handling Equipment
This Military Sealift Command Approved Course provides the student with an understanding of ordnance handling equipment including prior to use inspection, maintenance and hands on operation of handling equipment used during underway replenishment of palletized ordnance item.

Ordnance Hazard Awareness
This Military Sealift Command Approved Course provides the student with a basic understanding of the hazards of ammunition and explosives, and acquaints them with the explosives safety principles and practices outlined in the applicable governing directives.

QMED Deck Engineer / Machinist
Any applicant possessing a QMED F/WT/O endorsement and who successfully completes this 191.5-hour course and presents a Certificate of Training at a Regional Exam Centeer with one year of completing the course will: L Satisfy the training and examination requirements of 46 CFR, Part 12.15-9 for the General Safety, QMED Machinist and Deck Engineer examination modules.

Any applicant whose merchant mariner’s document is endorsed as QMED Oiler and /or Fireman/Watertender and successfully completed this 120-hour QMED-Electrician course will satisfy the requirements of 46 CFR 12.15-9 for the Electrician examination modules, if presented WITHIN ONE YEAR of the completion of training. This course has not been evaluated to determine if it will satisfy any training or assessment requirements of the STCW Convention and STCW Code.

Radar Observer, Unlimited
Any applicant who successfully completes our 40-Hour Radar Observer (Unlimited) course including successful demonstration of all practical assessments, will satisfy the requirements of 46 CFR 11.480(d) for an endorsement as Radar Observer (Unlimited) and the radar training requirements for certification as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on vessels of 500 or more gross tonnage (ITC). Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch Team
Training Resources Ltd. Inc. is now offering 16 hour USCG approved training leading to an endorsement as a “Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch” (RFPNW). The class utilizes a combination of classroom and simulator training. Successful completion of the course will provide the candidate the documentation needed to receive an endorsement as a “Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch, Lookout Duties Only” and completion of the Assessments as a RFPNW as per NMC Policy 14-02, Enclosure 1, Attachment B.

Small Arms Qualification
Upon completion of two days familiarization, each student will be required to qualify on a live fire range. Each student will be required to complete and sign a Qualification to Possess Firearms and Ammunition (DD Form 2760).
Small Arms Qualification is a four day course that provides the individual with the ability to observe all the safety precautions required for safe operation of the small arms listed including the Use of the Deadly Force, General Weapons Safety & Key Terms, and Fundamentals of Pistol Marksmanship.
Tankerman PIC-D/L
Coast Guard regulations have changed drastically since the passing of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.
Any applicant who successfully completes this 40-hour Tankship Dangerous Liquid course will satisfy the training requirements of 46 CFR 13.209, 13.409 or 13.509 for a tankerman endorsement; AND the tanker familiarization, oil tanker and chemical tanker training requirements of paragraphs 1-21 of Section A-V/1 of the STCW Code.

Vessel Security Officer
This course has been certified by Det Norske Veritas on behalf of the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center to be in compliance with Guidelines for Maritime Security Training Course Providers.
Any applicant who successfully completes this course will be in compliance Regulations 13.1 (Part B) and 13.2 (Part A and B) of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code; and IMO Model Course 3.19, Ship Security Officer; AND Model Course MTSA 08-01, Vessel Security Officer ( April 2008 Edition); AND STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Regulation VI/5."
