GMDSS 73-Hour

We utilize a state of the art live FURUNO GMDSS FCC license exams are available for an extra fee. This 10 day, 73 hour course meet USCG/STCW requirements, regulations,equipment, principles, and hands on operating procedures of each GMDSS sub-system. Licensed mariners must meet certification and training requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard and Federal Communications Commission to serve as qualified GMDSS Radio Operators aboard compulsory vessels. For individuals requiring FCC license elements 1 and 7 an additional charge of $75.00 will be charged.

Any applicant who successfully completes this 73-hour Global Maritime Distress & Safety System (GMDSS) course with a passing grade of at least 75% will satisfy the GMDSS training requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(n) and Table A-VI/2 of the STCW Code.
