GMDSS (Restricted Operator) 21-Hour
We utilize a state of the art live FURUNO GMDSS FCC license exams are available for an extra fee. This 3 day, 21 hour course meet USCG/STCW requirements, regulations, equipment, principles, and hands on operating procedures of each GMDSS sub-system -Restricted Operator. Satisfies STCW Code restricted to Sea Area A-1. Licensed mariners must meet certification and training requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard and Federal Communications Commission to serve as qualified GMDSS Radio Operators aboard compulsory vessels. For individuals requiring FCC license elements 1 and 7 an additional charge of $75.00 will be charged.
Any applicant who has successfully completed this 21-hour Global Maritime Distress & Safety System – Restricted Operator course with a passing grade of at least 75% will satisfy the GMDSS t raining requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(n) and Table A-IV/2 of the STCW Code RESTRICTED to Sea Area A-1.
