Medical First Provider
Any applicant who successfully completes this 26-hour Medical Care Provider course will: (1) Satisfy the First Aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(h)(1)(ii) and (h)(2)(iii) for issuance of a merchant mariner license if presented WITHIN ONE YEAR of the completion of training; --AND—(2) Satisfy the Basic Safety –Elementary First Aid Training requirements of 46 CFR 10.205)I)(3) and Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-3 of the STCW Code; --AND— (3)Satisfy the Medical First Aid training requirements of 46 CFR 12.13-1 and Section A-VI/4 and Table A-VI/4-1 of the STCW Code; --AND—(4) Be considered to have successfully demonstrated the competence “Apply Medical First Aid On Board Ship” of Tables A-II/1 and A-III/1 of the STCW Code.

**COAST GUARD REQUIREMENTS: The U.S.C.G. requires that we keep student records. A copy of a photo ID, your full legal name and your social security number are part of that required paperwork.
